Insulated Steel Doors - French Doors

Masonite metal insulated steel doors are used in our Seymour door systems. These doors are manufactured of heavy 24 gauge galvanized steel, are high definition with a prefinished white polytex surface. The thermally broken core is filled with polyurethane foam giving a high insulation R value. Fibreglass textured or smooth door panels add a decorative wood grain appearance.

Our door frames are constructed of 1 7/8" finger joint clear pine to minimize warping and are preservative treated to resist decay. These frames are available with optional vinyl or aluminum cladding for a maintenance free exterior. Each Seymour door can be customized to meet your specific requirements and our strict attention to detail ensures that you get a beautiful door that is guaranteed to endure the test of time.

Frames

  • Woodframe sizes are available in a variety of sizes from
  • 4 5/8" to 9 3/8 - the size (depth) required depends on the actual construction of your home.

Hinges

  • Ball bearing hinges are designed to use on heavy exterior doors.These hinges are permanently lubricated and allow the door to operate with less force throughout the full range of motion of the door. Colours available are brass, zinc, black or stainless steel.

Dead Bolt

  • Pre-drilled hole for the installation of a dead bolt lock for added security and reduces the chance of a break-in of your home.

Dead Bolt Reinforcement

  • Provides additional strength to the dead bolt.

Peephole

  • Viewers, also called Peep Holes allow you to see who is at your door before opening it.

Spring Loaded Hinge

  • This type of hinge has flanges or leaves which attach to the door and the jamb. Springs provide energy to automatically close the door and can be adjusted for different tensions.

Perko Door Closer

  • This door closer is usually installed on an inside steel door going from the garage into the house. This closer is completely concealed when the door is closed, yet compact enough to be unnoticed when the door is open.

Styles

  • Choose from a variety of flush or embossed steel or fibreglass door slabs. To list a few embossed styles such as 6 panel, 3 panel arch top, or a 9 panel which can be painted to your choice of colour.
  • Fibreglass slabs are available in a smooth or textured surface which can be stained or painted.

Frames

  • Woodframe sizes are available in a variety of depths from 4 5/8", 6 5/8" to 9 3/8 - the size (depth) required depends on the actual construction of your home.

Aluminium or Vinyl Clad

  • Factory installed on the woodframe, for a maintenance free exterior.
  • Vinyl clad is available in white only, while aluminum clad is available in a variety of Royal Alumipro colours.

Outswing

  • A door assembly in which a door panel swings outward, maximizing a rooms space without compromising on quality.

Sill Extension

  • A variety of sizes are available for an overall extension of 6 5/8", 7 3/4", 8 5/8" or 9 3/4".

Accessible Sill

  • Instead of the standard 2" height sill, the accessible sill has a height of only 1/2". The design is sloped making easier access for wheelchairs or strollers.

20 Minute Fire Rated

  • Steel fire doors are rated by time that a door can withstand exposure to fire tested conditions. 20 minute doors are used in applications where smoke and draft control is a primary concern.

  • Your door is the most important feature of your home when it comes to being safe and secure. Our Steel Doors feature 24-gauge galvanized steel, filled with a solid polyurethane foamed in core. Fibreglass doors specially engineered facings are valued for their strength and durability.
